Submit an Abstract

The sponsors of “Celebrating the SonoranDesert” invite abstract submissions of paper presentations and posters for the upcoming tri-national symposium. Abstracts will be accepted until January 7, 2012.  If requested, the registration fee will be waived for presenters.

 Instructions

  1. Paper presentations should be approximately 15 minutes long, plus five minutes for discussion and questions. Posters will be setup in the back of the main auditorium and left on display throughout the symposium. 
  2. Submit your proposal by completing the information requested on the abstract submission form, including a maximum 200-word abstract. Required fields are indicated by an asterisk (*).
  3. You will receive a confirmation e-mail as soon as your proposal is received. Authors will be notified by e-mail by January 19, 2012 regarding the status of their submission. If you need earlier notification (e.g. in order to arrange travel in advance) please let us know in the comment section of the submission form.
  4. A computer, PowerPoint projector and screen will be available for all paper presentations. Please indicate any additional equipment or material needs you may have in the comment section of the abstract submission form.
  5. Registration is a completely separate process from the abstract submission process. You do not have to register for the symposium to submit an abstract, however all authors giving paper presentations or presenting posters at the symposium must register and pay for the symposium by February 20, 2012.
